One day, Coltsville and the related complex of factory buildings and structures may yet be a National Park. Until then, the best way to get a taste of the Colt history is to visit the museum – the collection given to the museum in 1957 is considered one of the finest assemblages of Colt-made weapons in the world.
Also on display: Joseph C. Mitchelson coin collection; Freedom Trail Quilts; Charter Display and the legend of the Charter Oak.
Admission is free.
